Sunny (Korean)

Sunny’s journey is as diverse and enriching as her professional background. Born and raised in Korea, she had the incredible opportunity to live in the Philippines and China during her childhood. This exposure to multiple cultures from a young age gave her a multicultural perspective that still shapes how she sees the world and interacts with others today.

Sunny later moved to Seattle, Washington, where she pursued higher education at the University of Washington. She earned both her undergraduate and master’s degrees in finance and accounting, building a strong academic foundation for her future career. Her time at the university gave her the analytical skills needed to succeed in the business world, and it was clear she had a bright future ahead of her.

Her professional career started at Deloitte, one of the world’s leading consulting firms. For over four years, she worked as a consultant, gaining valuable experience with a wide range of clients, including some of the largest tech companies in the world. It was a fast-paced environment that helped her sharpen her skills and broaden her knowledge. This role laid the groundwork for her next steps in the tech and business sectors.

Sunny’s next move was to Airbnb, where she worked as an analyst. Here, she dove deeper into data analysis and learned how vital it is in making smart business decisions. Her growing passion for data led her to pursue a Master’s degree in Data Science at UC Berkeley. During her time there, she spent two years developing her technical skills, mastering the art of using data to generate insights and fuel innovation.
